Lopezhas saidthat Gaga’s participation in the production process was“kind of cool. She’s a great songwriter: I don’t just love her lyrics, but also her melodies.”“Hypnotico” is one of twoLove?contributed by Gaga, the other being“Invading My Mind”.
The track was originally recorded by Jamaican singer/songwriter Tami Chynn, who’sa protege of Akon, who alsohelped sign Lady Gaga, so it’s all really one big (hypnotic) circle, really.

For“Silly Girl,” the UK singer hooked up with Switch (who produced Beyonce’s“Run The World (Girls)”) to write the track. Neon Hitch’s frequent collaborator Benny Blanco handled production chores.
“I’d just got off tour and I went in the studio with Switch,” Neon Hitch tells us about the slow-bubbling dubstep groove.“We partied all night and happened to lay a few melodies. A month later Switch got in the studio with Benny Blanco and played the demo. Benny loved the scratch demo so much that we didn’t really change the song at all.”
Way to get us shuffling around the office on a Monday morning, Ms. Hitch!
A month afterthe death of G-funk crooner Nate Dogg, his good friend and“Regulate” collaborator Warren G has offered up the tribute jam“This Is Dedicated To You.” The song, which is based around the mournful melody of the Eagles’“Hotel California,” features LaToiya Williams (spelled as“LaToya” on the single cover) and is set to be added to iTunes tomorrow (April 26), according toRap-Up.com. Though we’re only treated to just a snippet of each track, nothing is standing out as anything on par with“Waiting For Tonight”, though“Hypnotico” sounds pretty fun. And is it just us, or do the background“ay”’s in“I’m Into You”— the next single off the album — sound alotlike the one’s in Usher’s“Love In This Club”? Or are we hearing things?
Giving up the ganjaisn’t the only change Kid Cudi is making in his life these days. During a performance at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom on Thursday,“Mr. Rager”made two major announcements: he is changing the name of his band (with Dot Da Genius) from Wizard to 2 Be Continuum, and his new record label will be called Wicked Awesome Records (he recently split with Dream On).“I needed something more original, something different. If anybody was going to remix Britney Spears’ single“Till The World Ends”, it may as well be Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj. K-Dolla, of course, co-wrote Brit’s apocalypse-set dance party jam, and Harajuku Barbie will betouring with the pop star this Summer. Even if theyweren’tinvolved with Spears before jumping on this track, we’d still welcome this remix with open arms.
