Giving up the ganjaisn’t the only change Kid Cudi is making in his life these days. During a performance at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom on Thursday,“Mr. Rager”made two major announcements: he is changing the name of his band (with Dot Da Genius) from Wizard to 2 Be Continuum, and his new record label will be called Wicked Awesome Records (he recently split with Dream On).“I needed something more original, something different. But it’s still wizardry at its finest,” the“All Of The Lights”rapper explained. Watch a video of the“Capcom” kid’sannouncement below.
If we didn’t know better, we’d say“2 Be Continuum” sounds like a band name someone would only come up with while stoned. But we’re all for it if it brings us closer to thenew musicwe’ve been promised. Let’s hope it’s as wicked awesome as Kid Cudi’s new label!
